Open the following folder: Documents > TomTom > HOME > Download > complete > map. Also, is the name of the map you were asked to install manually, for instance Europe. These instructions are for the built-in extraction program, so they could vary depending on the extraction program that is installed on your computer. If you did not make a backup of your device, but you have downloaded the map before using TomTom HOME or copied it to your computer, you can use one of the following steps. Wait until the computer has finished copying the folder onto your TomTom navigation device. Right-click on the removable drive, which is your TomTom navigation device, and click Paste. Right-click on this map folder and click Copy. You see a folder with the name of the map you were trying to install, for instance Europe or United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland. Open the folder InternalMemory or Storage Open the following folder: Documents > TomTom > HOME > Backup > Backup01.
Press the Windows key+E to open the Windows file explorer.
You can copy the map manually from a backup created in TomTom HOME. NOTE: Depending on the size of the map and speed of your computer, this can take up to a few hours to complete.
